Event Description

Are you looking for a fun way to teach youth how to take care of the natural world? In this free training lead by Leave No Trace's Traveling Trainers you'll learn hands on methods for educating youth in environmental awareness and the Leave No Trace principles. PEAK (Promoting Environmental Awareness in Kids) is the result of a unique partnership between REI and the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics to educate children about the outdoors and responsible use of shared public lands. The PEAK program is an excellent, easy-to-use resource for educators and youth participants with limited time. The program is a great tool for troop leaders, teachers, naturalists and outdoor lovers. The PEAK pack can be rented for free at REI to teach your youth group about Leave No Trace. Snacks will be provided at this presentation.
