The conference, sponsored by the Delaware Association of Environmental Education, is geared toward teachers and environmental education professionals. Speakers and workshop presenters will focus on schoolyard and outdoor habitats education and the "No Child Left Inside" initiative.
The keynote speaker will be Linda Rhoads, former executive director of the Environmental Association of Oregon. Other presenters include Roy Whitaker from the Seaford School District on "Energy and Air Quality Initiatives"; Sally Boswell from the Delaware Center for the Inland Bays and Sarah Toman Hilderbrand from Environmental Concerns on "Schoolyard Habitats"; Pamela Vanderwende and Kyle Dougherty about the "Phillis Wheatley Middle School Conservation Club"; the "Green Schools" program in Maryland; Michelle Jennings from Delaware Greenways on their "No Child Left Inside" initiatives; and April McCrae from the Delaware Department of Education on "Environmental Education and DOE." There will also be exhibits on various environmental programs.
