Come to our cozy music room under the trees at Mills College Children's School, Oakland, CA, for a playful and practical day of deepening your music and movement repertoire inspired by the natural world. Everyone from preschool teachers to grandparents, parents and school administrators will find something valuable. In this Orff Schulwerk workshop series we are sharing indispensable seasonal music and movement activities that develop sensory awareness, the naturalist intelligence and are just plain fun!
The second of three workshops takes place this Saturday, January 26, and will focus on rain, weather and the water cycle experienced through the senses and song, dance, poetry, drama, percussion instruments and listening practice.
Final workshop is Saturday, March 16, with spring themes of seeds, growth, birds, nests and bird song.
Attend for a whole ($60) or partial day ($40) and pay at the door accordingly. Discount for students and Mills College community.
