Event Description

What happened to ruffed grouse in the Driftless region? Why don’t I hear whip-poor-wills like I used to? Predation is one of many factors that can alter species abundance, and interactions between predators and prey are much more complex than one might suspect. Attendees will hear how science can shed some light on predator-prey interactions, in order to bridge the gap between myth and reality that often exists in our views of natural systems. Presenter: Scott Walter, WI DNR Upland Wildlife Ecologist. Refreshments and socializing at 6:30 pm.  Talk begins at 7:00 pm.  Free and open to the public. The Driftless Dialogue VII series sponsored in part by the Kickapoo Valley Reforestation (Nuzum) Fund. Kickapoo Valley Reserve, S3661 State Hwy 131, La Farge, WI 54639.
