Spend a summer morning out at the Stony Brook with our Teacher-Naturalists. Once we hike to the brook, we will conduct water chemistry tests and examine macroinvertebrates that we catch in our seine nets, to determine the health of the stream. Lunch is stream-side, followed by some reflection, exploration and perhaps a little splashing! Registration is by individual Girl Scout, not troop. Girls should bring a water bottle, lunch and change of shoes. We will be wading in shallow water – children do not go swimming. This event has a $20 fee per girl and is designed for Girl Scouts entering grades 4-8. Registration is required.
