Help us restore and maintain ALNC’s prairie, marsh and woodlands!
Join us one Saturday a month to help control invasive species, seed with native plants, get dirty and have some fun! Volunteer work days will focus mainly on land management projects and invasive species removal. Land Steward Work Days are scheduled March through November and may be cancelled due to inclement weather or planned activities may be modified.
Groups are encouraged to contact us to coordinate a specific work date and schedule. Adults and youth are welcome, however, we ask that youth must be chaperoned and supervised by an adult.
Join us at our Monona campus for our upcoming volunteer work day! There is no need to sign-up or RSVP...just show up and ALNC staff will greet you upon arrival.
Here are just a few Land Steward projects:
- Cut honeysuckle and other unwanted brush
- Mulch trails
- Pull garlic mustard and other “weeds”
- Transplant wildflowers
- Collect and label seeds
- Garden work as needed
- Pick up trash
For inquiries about land steward volunteer workdays, or if you belong to an organization or group and prefer to schedule a date to volunteer, specific arrangements may be made for a group workday. Call 608-216-9387 or email email@example.com for more information.
