Event Description

Saturday, January 19, 5-8pm –Prowl the Slade Brook watershed by moonlight, enjoying Vermont views from a hilltop, then gather around a bonfire for hot cocoa and more. Bring headlamp or  flashlight. We begin this trip at dusk in order to approach our destination as the nearly full moon appears. (We carefully time this trip NOT to coincide with the full moon, in order to take maximum advantage of the light of a risen moon at a time of night that is best for family outings.) Suitable for children 7 and up. Dress in layers. Snowshoes and poles will be available for those who need them. Meet: 11 Old Lyme Road, Hanover NH. Leader: Hugh Mellert  Level: Easy to moderate.
