Backyards are filled with nature’s treasures, and though they are not always easy to find in the wintertime, they are still outside and ready to capture our curiosity. Pinecones, branches, and even that blanket of snow can be transformed into crafty creations that are simple reminders of the wonders that surround us.
On Sunday, February 20, community members are invited to YMCA Camp Minikani to exercise their creativity and transform Minikani’s own backyard treasures into take-home crafts. We’ll be crafting from 1-3pm, creating journals, picture frames, bird feeders, and more.
Participants can venture through the snow to look for their own treasures or choose from a variety of objects already collected from the various habitats at Minikani. This event is free to the public with donations gratefully accepted to help cover supplies costs.
YMCA Camp Minikani is located at 875 Amy Belle Road in Hubertus. For more information call (262) 251-9080.
