SUMMARY:Preschool Winter Nature Programs
DESCRIPTION:Under the guidance of our Teacher-Naturalists, children 3 
 – 5 years old learn about nature in nature; adult must stay with chi
 ld younger than 4 years old.\n\nTopics vary weekly and always include 
 outdoor exploration; children and accompanying adults should come dres
 sed for the out of doors.\nSpace is limited and registration is requir
 ed; call 609-737-7592 to sign up.\nChoose either Tuesday, 10:00-11:30A
 M OR Wednesday, 1:00-2:30PM\nFee per session per child: $10M/$15NM\nRe
 gister and pay for 4 sessions, receive a 5th session FREE\n\n \nDecem
 ber 6 & 7 – Story Time Winter (bring a stuffed animal)\nSpend a wint
 ry day with us listening to nature stories.  Bring a special stuffed 
 animal to hug.  The children will also make a craft to accompany each
  story.  As always we’ll have new stories and crafts this year.\n 
 \nDecember 13 & 14– Tracks and Trails\nPull on your warm wintery wea
 r, and come explore the Watershed Reserve, looking for the tracks and 
 trails left by the animals that are active in this chilly season.\nJan
 uary 3 & 4- Winter Winds\nDiscover the cold and powerful wind! Blow bu
 bbles to see which direction they go…make wishes with winter seeds. 
 We will even make a wonderful wind instrument to take home!\n \nJanua
 ry 10 & 11 – Birds of Prey Play\nHawks, ravens and eagles are large 
 majestic birds that have some something in common. They are all raptor
 s, or birds of prey. Come join us as we learn about these beautiful bi
 rds.  \n \nJanuary 17 & 18 – Happy Chinese New Year\nJoin us as we
  welcome in the year of the Dragon! We will learn about Chinese New Ye
 ar, why it is celebrated, and we will take part in a celebration of ou
 r own.\n \nJanuary 24 & 25 – Reptiles Are Fun\nAfter listening to a
  story, the children will meet our resident reptiles in the Nature Cen
 ter.  A fun reptilian craft will complete the program.\nJanuary 31 & 
 February 1– Secret World of Rodents\nIn this program we will explore
  the secret world of rodents to discover what they eat, where they sle
 ep, and what they do throughout the day.\n \nFebruary 14 & 15 – Sup
 er Seeds\nDiscover the variety of small packages that seeds come in. T
 ake a hike on the trails searching for those super seeds and make a cr
 aft to take home.\n \nFebruary 21 & 22 – Life Under Water\nSome ani
 mals spend their entire lives under water. In this program, we will le
 arn what it takes to stay under water for a lifetime. We even take a l
 ook at some of the crazy creatures that call the deep sea their home a
 nd maybe try and come up with some of our own.  \n \nFebruary 28 & 
 29 – Sensible Senses\nWhat does a tree smell like? How do our taste 
 buds work? We’ll answer these questions and more as we touch, taste,
  smell, feel, and see our way through this program.\n \n \n\nFor mor
