Join us to explore...…...
Child Friendly Communities.
The next steps in ensuring Sustainability.
The Place of the Child in Community Building.
Using a community development lens, the purpose of this conference is to explore the nature of the cultural
shift required to maintain and sustain our commitment to building Child Friendly Communities.
The interactive nature of the day will assume a cross sectoral audience of professionals, who understand the
importance of the early years in shaping vibrant and participatory citizenship.
You will be provided with a context by Richard Louv’s keynote address—Last Child in the Woods—Saving
our Children from Nature-Deficit Disorder which will explore the connections between, family, nature and
community.
A group of eclectic presenters will then create an open dialogue to explore some of the inevitable tensions and frustrations
