Event Description

Mother Nature’s Child will be screened at the NAAEE Conference in Raleigh, NC on Saturday, October 15th. We are especially pleased that filmmaker John Klein, whose wonderful film Free and Alive directly follows MNC at the conference, will also introduce Mother Nature’s Child. Like MNC director Camilla Rockwell, John is also a grandparent. Our films complement each other beautifully. Free and Alive is an exquisite demonstration of the learning capability of a child in nature. In an early section of Mother Nature’s Child, when educator Amy Beam talks about her preschoolers exploring Rock Creek Park, she says, “You can almost hear their brains sizzling as the neural connections are being made!” The sizzling of neural connections is what you get to see in Free and Alive. Come to the conference and enjoy these two films back to back.
