Event Description

Spoutwood Farm Center will offer Seasonal Cooking 365, a three-part hands-on workshop series that explores seasonal, healthy, whole-foods cooking that is family and kid-friendly.  This workshop series is ideal for adults, teens, and preteens, and perfect for families learning together.  All three sessions of Seasonal Cooking 365 are on-your-feet and active with a healthy dose of fun!

Part I: Essential Knife Skills will take place at Spoutwood Farm on Saturday, June 28th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  This session will introduce the knife skills necessary to quickly cut, slice, julienne, chop, dice, and mince a variety of foods.  Participants will follow recipes to prepare two seasonal dishes, each incorporating the knife skills learned in the session.  This session costs $30 per individual.

Part II: Summer’s Bounty and Part III: Autumn’s Harvest will each explore budget-friendly cooking with the unique ingredients of the season.  In each session participants will have the opportunity to create and share their own recipes using seasonal ingredients easily found at local markets and farms.  These sessions will be offered on August 16th and October 11th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Each session costs $60 per individual.

Sign-up for the full series before June 20th for a special price of $125!
