Event Description

Registration Deadline: Friday, December 21, 2012

If you’ve been feeling cooped up due to cold temps, bundle up and come out to Aldo Leopold Nature Center to learn all about the science of snow.  Build snow forts, go snowshoeing, create snow sculptures, make snow paintings, and learn how to preserve a snowflake to bring home.  We’ll also explore how and why it snows and learn how meteorologists predict the weather.  If no snow is present, we’ll explore winter phenomenon, such as ice and animal insulation.  Please bring a sack lunch; we’ll provide snacks, water and lemonade.

ALNC Members: $45/participant; Non-Members: $50/participant
