Event Description

Families with young children and folks of all ages are invited to the StoryWalk® Festival in Montpelier's beautiful Hubbard Park. Laminated pages from children’s books will be posted on stakes along selected paths to be read and enjoyed.

This free event will take place rain or shine on Saturday, October 6 from 10 am to 3 pm.

Eight StoryWalk® books will be posted on trails throughout the park. The books have been selected for their wonderful stories, lovely illustrations, and important messages for people of all ages.

Book signings by children’s authors David McPhail and Leda Schubert will take place from noon to one pm. There will be refreshments and entertainment, too. Follow signs from the Main St. roundabout to the New Shelter in Hubbard Park.

The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle & Pedestrian Coalition and the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.
