Children 3-5 years old learn about nature while exploring the out-of-doors with Senior Naturalist Allison Jackson and Teacher-Naturalist Alison Novobilsky. Each class includes outdoor exploration, stories and simple crafts. A parent must stay with any child younger than 4. Class size is limited.
Students will look at examples of many beautiful butterflies from around the world then use liquid watercolors to paint their own butterflies on special paper and transform them into ‘flying flowers’. We will also use oil pastels to draw butterflies or moths. What a wonderful way to get ready for the Butterfly Festival on August 8th!
