Three-punch Stewardship Bonanza!
Date: Saturday, June 4, 2011
Closest Town: Leland, Ontario
Meeting Time: 10:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Special Features: Guided nature tour
Good things come in threes, and this event promises to be high energy, high impact and tons of fun! Come out and assist NCC in eliminating invasive species, collecting water samples from Elbow and Spectacle Lake, and replacing and installing signage. You will be treated to a guided nature tour at the end of the event to soak in views of the property’s forest, wetland, cliff and rock barren habitats, and maybe even come across one of the rare species found here, such as the Whip-poor-will, Eastern Ratsnake, or Ontario’s only lizard: the Five-lined Skink.
Please make sure you eat a solid breakfast, and pack a lunch to bring with you for the day of the event. Snacks and beverages will be provided by NCC to keep you energized and hydrated. For more information or to RSVP< please visit http://www.natureconservancy.ca/site/Calendar/1778600635?view=Detail&id=100632
