Hey, Waltham teens, here’s a chance to LEARN, EARN,. RETURN,
Want to LEARN something new while spending time outdoors in the spring and summer? Want to learn while you EARN a stipend? Want to learn and earn, while you RETURN to the community native plants that are the basis for a healthy, biodiverse environment?
In this dual-track program, you will learn real-world business skills AND ecosystems gardening techniques while earning a stipend of $11/hour. After eight engaging, practical sessions with professionals and college mentors, you and your teammates will use your training to create and launch a gardening service business where, during the summer, your team will sell and install beautiful, low-maintenance native flowers, shrubs, and grasses on properties throughout Waltham.
By creating native-plant gardens, you are helping to restore wildlife habitat and species biodiversity, and thus, you are returning good things to the environment.
