Children and Nature Conferences in the US

My name is Christy Smith and I am the director of Indiana University Campus Children's Center.  The teachers of our program are interested in attending conferences in 2011 & 2012 (and beyond) that focus on Children & Nature.  If you know of such conferences in the US please post them here!

The Green Schools Alliance runs a great program called the Student Climate and Conservation Congress each June at the National Conservation Training Center in West Virginia. While this is an amazing program for students grades 9-12, it is also an amazing opportunity for a few teachers who can participate as cohort leaders and learn a lot as well. Anyone in the Michigan area, our DNR does an Academy of Natural Resources and each year offers four different programs. The program is held at the DNR conference center right on Higgins Lake. I have attended for the past three years and love it. They are always trying out new programs. It's a fantastic opportunity to spend time outdoors and learn about conservation.
