Journey Through Nature

I am a mouse—

small and agile

playful but fragile,

scurrying to a peach

that has fallen from

the peach tree above.

I am the peach tree—

this slow growing wonder

has never a blunder

in its strong and sturdy stout.

As you wash the peach

you’ve picked from the tree

(using water no doubt)—

feel beautiful water, water glistening

as it pours down the drain,

heading for the ocean.

I am the water—

water so vast, infinitely vast

you cannot see beyond it…

with glistening waves

so devastatingly high

you would not dream

of surfing one.
