Hello everyone!

I'm curious to know how everyone seeks time to incorporate nature in the winter with themselves and with their students/children.  I struggle to remain active in nature during this time of year as it is not sunny and warm!

Also, to my teacher friends, how do you create a natural classroom theme? Any suggestions?

Thanks so much!

Hi Elizabeth,

We go on regular nature walks. Having the right clothing is essential, as nobody wants to be outside when their toes, fingers, or noses are freezing. I have an e-book all about successful nature walks, if you're interested. http://tinypeasant.com/product/wild-walks-e-book/

Natural classroom
- loads of natural items to use as manipulatives and in art, like pine cones, acorns, leaves, twigs, seeds...
- warm materials (wood, fibre) over plastics

- plants to care for
