Welcome to Four Season Families!
Our main goal is to have outdoor fun with our kids in every season. In the Northeast, that can be a challenge! All the more reason to band together for motivation and inspiration to get out there and enjoy nature.
Four Season Families believes that outdoor play is seriously fun and seriously important for every member of the family. We strive to provide families with a wide breadth of exciting and educational outdoor experiences. Activities include things like sledding, skating on outdoor rinks, hiking nearby trails, catching frogs, apple picking, and running around city parks.
The benefits of direct experience with nature are plentiful. Put simply, being in nature makes us happier, healthier, and smarter.
This is a group for families. Children of all ages and their care-givers are welcome to join. It is our aim to make the events no-cost or very low-cost to everybody. Events will be posted a few weeks in advance via email and Facebook invite. Make sure to read the information for each event carefully so you are prepared!

Our group visited the beautiful Ioka Valley farm this past weekend to learn all about how maple syrup is made. The sun was shining and the sap was flowing! We began with a tour of the sugar house where we sampled maple products (maple cotton-candy, yum!) and heard all about the process of turning sap into maple syrup. The kids spent the next hour running around and playing on the farm grounds. We visited the maple trees, climbed large rocks, fed the farm animals, swung on the swing-set, and even watched as new-born kittens nursed their mama. The trip ended with lunch at the farm Calf-A. We ate pancakes with lots of maple syrup, naturally.
This group does not have any discussions yet.
