Changing schools play yard plans

Has anyone in Canada passed a naturalization plan with their school boards to incorporate a learning garden or naturalized area into new school developments? I am in a booming town that is building schools (10 new schools) and would love to get the school board to build a naturalized area right into the whole planning process from the get go.
