Painting the Project GO Bus

Eager participants at the Plainview Project Get Outdoors after school program help paint the bus that was donated to their club. The bus will be used for after school fieldtrips to explore nearby public green spaces including parks, trails, refuges and scientific and natural areas.

. Tthese younger kids need free overday or over night outing. Here in Oregon I am trying suggest fun things kids & Parent or Teachers can do close to home.

Ice fishing, snow shoeing, Digital photography in nature, Invertebrate study, Not to mention learning about prairies and river habitats. I look forward to the next outing with the children and Project Go. Thank you Sara.

Samples on February 26, 2010 at 4:50pm: I believe our partnership with Project GO is one of the best examples of mentoring youth in outdoor activity we participate in on the Refuge. Imagine if all 500 plus refuges had a partnership with a group like Project GO! It works so well because of our limited staff but unlimited areas to connect children with nature! Rock on Sarah!
