We visited the Tijuana Estuary January 13th. It was a beautiful day and the participating families had a great time. Quite a few families live not too far from the estuary and had NEVER been there before! Others, like us, drove about 30 minutes to get there. The only disappointment was that there were NO ducks. Of the dozens of times my husband and I have visited we have never not seen dozens and DOZENS of ducks. =( We did get to see two highly endangered light-footed clapper rails though - that was definitely one of the highlights!

Wow! These are fantastic pics! Looks like you guys saw a lot of birds and had perfect conditions and a great time. Was this last weekend? Is your group participating in the Great Backyard Bird Count in February? What fun. What lucky participants who got to enjoy this Birding Discovery.
