Here's a fun game of tag for the winter: Make a large circle in the snow with your feet. Make three straight paths crossing through center of the circle. The person who is 'it' will stand in the middle of the circle at the start of the game. Runners can begin anywhere on the circle. 'It' will chase runners and try to tag like a regular game, except everyone must stay on a path, either the outer circle or the paths crossing through middle. Players may change direction and take any path to evade being tagged. When someone is tagged, they are 'it' and game starts again from beginning.
Works best with a minimum of 3 players. We played it yesterday with 3 and again this morning with 6 at the bus stop. The kids love it!
