The Social Justice Gardens (SJG) is a Lowell Bennion Center student directed program focused on environmental justice and education. SJG operates as a volunteer organization for University of Utah students tobecome more aware of environmental and social injustice within Salt Lake City. SJG operates a community-classroom garden at Mountain View and Jackson Elementary Schools.
EAT volunteers help improve the quality of our environment and learn new skills by participating in conservation and sustainability projects in Utah. By working with many organizational partners to reconnect and respect our planet we strengthen the community which holds us together.
Volunteers boost recycling on campus by educating University students, staff, faculty and administrators. Opportunities to volunteer range from improving the current usage by composting with campus gardens to recycling in Olpin Union. Campus Recycling is open to all volunteer ideas in support of recycling, reusing, and reducing campus waste.
