Hi Corine, Thanks for connecting.  I note in the news that there is a petition to make Lake Winnipeg "a legal person." This is a great move, as corporations that pollute lakes like Winnipeg have been incorporating themselves as legal persons for decades and decades to protect themselves from liability! (The Corporation, by Joel Bakken).

Myself and others in Vancouver BC recently embedded science content into dance and co-design drawing at a UBC conference for  a problem based learning intervention on a long buried creek (Still Creek) that after 40 years of 'daylighting' and cleaning by dedicated members of the community and scientists had Chum Salmon return after 80 years. Lovely story!

Looking forward to reading what you and your colleagues are working on in Manitoba!

All the best,

John Ames

Hi Corine, Warm welcome to C&NN Connect. I'm glad you found us and hope you make yourself at home in discussions and groups. Our Natural Teachers Network and our ECE group will probably interest you, among others. I hope you'll share your activities, ideas and photos with us and find this a rich source of resources. You may want to post the Summit in the Events section for starters. For any questions about the network, see our FAQ page. Hope to see you here again soon. Cheers!
