This year our program is helping a master teacher of geography from a Chinese high school who wants to create a nature center in her school. I am helping her with professionals and educators here in Orange County. Next year we will do the same for a group - but also include SF and Portland and Costa Rica. ECCN's focus is deepening dialogue around nature education between east and west.
Great work you do! Do you still live in Portland? I am designing a sustainability education program for 5 master teachers from China in 2014 and plan to be in Portland Aug 25-27 to work on it. I was just LOOKING to somehow connect them with C&NN and then wow - a teacher like you would be so cool for them to see and bring back such real re-connections to nature.
Hey Danielle! Warm welcome to C&NN Connect. I'm glad you found us and hope you make yourself at home in discussions and groups. I suggest starting with our Natural Leaders Network. I hope you saw the piece you did for NWF Wildlife Promise on our news page: www.childrenandnature.org. It just went on Facebook today. Thanks for writing it! I hope you'll share more blogs, ideas and photos with us and find this a rich source of resources. See you soon! Cheers.
