- Danny LaBrecque has been in the field of early childhood development for ten years. He began his career as a classroom educator at Grand Avenue Preschool & Daycare, Inc. in LaGrange, Illinois. Later, he became the early childhood curricula developer and program coordinator for The Field Museum in Chicago, Illinois. He currently works at home, caring for his young daughter and developing a web series and corresponding online community called Danny Joe’s Tree House. Danny aspires to walk in the footsteps of his hero Fred Rogers.
A collaboration between Danny and his wife, Stefani Foster, a professional director and cinematographer, Danny Joe's Tree House invites young children and their adult caregivers to come outside and learn about natural history and science through play. The program also promotes quality family interactions with nature in the digital age. Episodes can be viewed through YouTube or Facebook:
