Natural Classrooms to Educate Our Children

"State parks are outdoor classrooms providing environment-based learning for more than 500,000 kids annually. The parks are second only to our public schools in the educational opportunities they offer to our youngest Californians." From the Nature Conservancy.

Have you explored a state park recently with your child?

Hi Jane! Thanks for your reply. Sounds like you have a wonderful Grandparents Day planned. I encourage you to post in the Discussion area, too, so more people will see what you're up to and perhaps be inspired to create their own inter-generational activity. It could also be a good place to let people know about your blog, too. The discussion is here:

Hi Jane! Do you know that Sept. 12 is Grandparents Day? I'll try to find more info about it. There is increasing interest in grandparents and their involvement with grandkids, especially in re. getting out in nature together.

I don't really interview members here. There are all kinds of ways to let people know what you're doing. I encourage you to share your writing in blog posts here (even if it's a repost of, or a link to, something you've already written.) You might also want to start a Grandparents group or discussion area (maybe within the Natural Families Network?) The area is very ripe, as you know.

Your blog is terrific and I follow you on Twitter, as I do all the people on our network, so I can certainly help promote your activities. The "Events" area on this forum is one more area where you may want to promote specific events. Hope that helps! I look forward to you continued energy to to keeping up with your doings and appreciate that you brought your program to my/our attention.

Hi Jane! Welcome to the forum. I'm glad you found us. I love the term "grandtrepreneur." Our network is hoping to have more resources available to grandparents and grandchildren. I hope to stay in touch about that and more as you make your way around the forum and make yourself at home. Cheers!
