Bio
Sarah Stankorb is Education and Communications Director for National Park Trust, a nonprofit committed to the vision that ‘everyone will have an American park experience'. To achieve this we seek to champion the acquisition and preservation of critical national, state and local parklands and to build a greater awareness through education - focusing on our youth, especially those that are underserved. At NPT, Sarah leads the Buddy Bison program. NPT's woolly mascot, Buddy Bison, inspires kids, families, schools and groups to get outside and share their American park experience. Additionally, through NPT's Where's Buddy Bison Been? school program, students from D.C. to Compton are engaged with the parks in their classrooms and then connect with the outdoors though experiential learning trips.
