I am a veterinary officer and psychologist with an expertise in veterinary public health, education, behaviour analysis and animal assisted therapy. I received my DVM from Parma University, a B.Sc. in Psychology from Trieste University, a PhD in Animal physiology and ethology from Bologna University, a post degree specialization in Aquatic animal health and pathology from Udine University. After my ten-year academic career I hold a position as veterinary officer at the Central Directorate of Health of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, North East Italy. I have been a member of the Italian National Animal Assisted Therapy Committee for several years and I am certified by the Italian Ministry of Health in Animal Assisted Therapy (Veterinary medicine and Psychology). I am the project manager and principal of the EU Bio-crime project.
