I started my teaching career in a therapeutic camping program for emotionally disturbed boys, where I learned at least as much as in my M.Ed. or Ph.D. programs. I have for the last 16 years taught in the education department of Wesleyan College, the oldest college in the world chartered to grant degrees to women. It is in Macon, Georgia. I use our 100 acre arboretum to teach courses with a "nature-smart" slant to them.
