Previously I've had academic training in zoology/ environmental resource management. I've worked in Scotland in zoo education, with Scottish Natural Heritage the statutory nature conservation agency, with the school grounds charity Grounds for Learning, got Forest School Leader training and now happily freelance trying to join up the dots!
How are you? Good to see friends on this site!
I'm currently planning the LTL national conference this year and as we are now 20 years old we've gone a bit mad and are holding it over three days! Day one is at Coombes Primary School where we will be joining in with lessons outside, day two will be site visits to innovative schools and day three we are bringing together speakers from America, Europe, Australia and Asia to talk about school grounds around the world. Maybe you can join us?? There is more information on the events pages.
Bye for now
Congratulations for making it here! I hope you've got good plans for the Easter holidays. I'm recovering from a lots of training sessions in a short space of time! Good luck with the biodiversity project - I'm looking forward to seeing the results which should complement the stuff you did last year with Jane.
Hi Penny! Welcome to C&NN. I'm glad you found us. Our Scotland contingent is growing! Have you checked out our Natural Teachers Network? You might enjoy the sharing and resources there. There are plenty of other places around the network where you can also make yourself at home. You have a really interesting background, and I look forward to learning more about you and what you do.
