"In my experience, especially youths (who are very often plugged into several media-sources at the same time; e.g. mp3-player-headset in their ears, writing sms while reading the newspaper...) are downright scared if you take them to the woods:…"

Hi Peter

It is interesting times for everyone in forest schools and I think being able to see what's happening in other countries can be very helpful. In fact I think I'll have to put a Forest School Discussion thread in the Scotland group. There is a Forest Kindergarten Pilot Project taking place in Scotland in our more urban area and I think this may well set the scene for more local authority involvement. But, also feel free to ask questions and keep in touch.

Best wishes
Juliet

PS I think your English has been word perfect! I'd say you're communicating very effectively! :)

Hello Peter

Thanks so much for joining Scotland's Nature Network. I've had a quick look at your website and would be interested in finding out more about outdoor/forest school approaches in Switzerland as I'm not au fait with what happening. Here in Scotland Forest Schools/Nature Kindergarten's are stated as a medium term priority for the Early Years in term of government strategy. So there is a rapidly growing interest from the mainstream education sector.

Best wishes
Juliet
