Suz Lipman has more than 25 years experience as a writer, editor, social media manager, community builder, and advocate for getting children into nature. She served on her local Safe Routes to Schools Task Force for 3 years and as a Girl Scout troop leader for 7.

Suz writes about nature activities, seasonal and cultural observations, crafts, and other ways to slow down and enjoy the outdoors and one another on her blog, Slow Family Online (www.slowfamilyonline.com). She also enjoys hiking, dancing, gardening, reading, food canning, and making natural, whimsical soaps with her teenage daughter for their mother/daughter company, Bubblehead Soap.

She is the author of "Fed Up with Frenzy: Slow Parenting in a Fast-Moving World" (2012). Slow Parenting and Fed Up with Frenzy were named Top 10 Trends of 2012 by TIME magazine.

CLIF Kid Backyard Game of the Year Playoffs Sat. 7/14 in San Francisco

I am already on the Natural Leaders Network and applied for the Legacy Camp to be held in a few weeks.  I am out of the age range that was requested by a few years but I applied anyway.  Unfortunately I did not get selected but I will be there in spirit!

Thanks for the kind words of encouragement Suz.  I really appreciate it.  I am trying to bring the Nature Movement here to South Mississippi.  Because we have relatively few large metropolises and an abundance of the natural world left most people here don't see a need to reconnect with it. I'd rather not wait until it's mostly gone to begin to reconnect with the natural world!
