There are ten stories within my book, 'The Naturals': The Story of Cloudy, Snowy, Windy, Moony, Hailstones, Sunny, Rainbow, Rainy, Starry and Earth. They are to be read to 4-10 year olds so that they may feel the connection with our Natural World. Once they can feel that our Natural World is alive and compassionate and looking after us all, they will want to look after it right back! Here is a snippet from my final story in my book, 'The Story of Earth':
'How will I know which way is the right way up?' the seed worried some more. 'What if my head ends up down in Earth, and my leg roots end up kicking about in the sky?'
'Well, then, we'll all end up laughing at your wriggly legs!' giggled the other seed. All the seeds jiggled about, laughing at the thought.
'Just remember,' suggested the helpful seed, 'you need a hot head and cold feet. Your head should grow towards Sunny and your foot roots should grow further and further into dark, cold Earth. Now, repeat after me,' he continued, 'hot head, cold feet. Hot head, cold feet...'
Before long, all of the seed siblings and, in fact every one of the dropped seeds around the garden, all waiting patiently under Earth, were chanting to themselves, 'Hot head, cold feet. Hot head, cold feet. Hot head, cold feet,' just in case there came a crucial moment when they needed to remember...
'The Naturals' with all ten stories inside, is in hardback with 170 pages and includes more than 50 beautiful illustrations. There are thought-provoking questions at the end of each story, so children get to think for themselves about the possibility of a good intention and purpose behind the actions of our Natural World.
My book is available in the US from Amazon.com. Please do check out my website at www.thenaturals.co.uk
