Last night I was up late making banners and cutting strips of material for a cause I hold dear to my heart. Getting Kids Outside!
Tomorrow is the launch of the "Let's Go Outside" Revolution, a non-profit organization with a mission to actively engage children with nature. (Revolution Website launches 29th April).
The Let’s Go Outside Revolution is about growing a generation of happy healthy children by changing the way children spend their time.

To mark the launch we are having a family fun beach party on Friday, April 15, at Bertram Creek Park, from 6 to 8 p.m. (Event Details Here)
The “Let’s Go Outside” Revolution hopes to motivate families and children to head outdoors and be active, have fun, and connect with nature. The Revolution Beach Party is a FREE event for families and children to run wild in the park. Sing songs around the campfire, build a fairy house, hunt for pebbles and make empowerment stones, play hide and seek, hunt for pine cones or make wind streamers.
The party is a fun way to develop creativity and a deep connection to nature. Parents get to play too, they can join in a game of frisbee, boules or softball or just soak up the stunning scenery and appreciate the magnificent wildlife in this picturesque regional park.
Although May would have been a better choice weather wise for the event, I really wanted to support the fabulous “LETS GO” campaign run by Children and Nature Network which runs throughout April. So please remember to wrap up warm, it will be cold down at the lake.
Bring a blanket, picnic, flashlight and a flask of hot cocoa to sip as we sing songs around the campfire and watch the sunset.
FROM INDOORS.......TO OUTDOORS............LETS GO OUTSIDE!!!!!!
A big thank you to Eve and Murray at the regional district of Central Okanagan for allowing us to have the event at Bertram Creek Park. Big Hugs to councilor, Michele Rule -you have the biggest heart Michele! Also big thank you to SUN-RYPE for donating fruit juice and fruit bars and Dan at Wicker Land for providing a propane fire pit so we can sing songs around a campfire. And a huge thank you to my dear friend Christine for all her help and keeping me motivated and Leigh for volunteering to do willow weaving with the children.
I am so looking forward to playing outdoors with you all. Love Marghanita x
