Snippet number eight from 'The Naturals', The Story of Rainy

There are ten stories within my book, 'The Naturals': The Story of Cloudy, Snowy, Windy, Moony, Hailstones, Sunny, Rainbow, Rainy, Starry and Earth. To be read to 4-10 year olds so that they may feel the connection with our Natural World. Once they can feel that our Natural World is alive and compassionate and looking after us all, they will want to look after it. Here is a snippet from 'The Story of Rainy':

'Whenever Little Piglet could sneak away from the smelly pigsty, he did. He would wander over to a nearby meadow which was covered with sweet-smelling grass, and even sweeter smelling flowers. Here he enjoyed rolling around in the grass to try and wipe away some of the crusty mud from his pink skin. He also enjoyed the freedom of not always bumping into the other pigs back in the sty. For some strange reason, all his pig friends seemed to enjoy huddling up together, treading on one another's trotters, and having their noses a bit too near each other's dirty bottoms! YUK - SMELLY! ...

...So here was Little Piglet, dirtier than he had ever been in his whole life, having been chased by a scary cow and fallen head first into a very smelly cow pat, and on top of everything, he was going to catch a cold! He couldn't go to Mirabel's party now ... he just COULDN'T! Little Piglet was also more upset than he had ever been in his whole life before! ...'

The Naturals, with all ten stories inside, is in hardback with 170 pages and includes more than 50 beautiful illustrations. There are thought-provoking questions at the end of each story, so children get to think for themselves about the possibility of a good intention and purpose behind the actions of our Natural World. My book is available in the US from Amazon.com for $18-£20. Please feel free to check out my website at www.thenaturals.co.uk

I hope you are all enjoying your day - and enjoying feeling either dirty before being washed clean, or enjoying feeling clean just before getting dirty! Happy blessings, Sharon x
