Thanks- I am excited to see that this has been created for like-minded people. I love what I do and love to hear about what everyone else is doing with kids and nature!

Hi, Suz. Thanks for the welcome. I do intend to participate on the Natural Teacher board. I LOVE your bird photos!
Thanks for the welcome! I am excited to be able to hear more about what others are up to across the country and around the globe! We've got a great effort underway in Minnesota and eventhough the economy is in rough shape right now, it's a very exciting time for our movement, especially with the new Legacy Tax Amendment that was approved by MN voters last year that sets aside $$$ for parks and recreation projects.
Oh, you’d been to Japan?? I’m very glad.
Once I went to Berkeley to visit to the Center for Independent Living, and also did volunteer in San Francisco. Great hospitalities were there!
I am expecting your excelled activities in your mother nature…
Thanks a lot,
bye!!
All the quick children have gone inside, called
by their mothers to hurry-up-wash-your-hands
honey-dinner's-getting-cold, just-wait-till-your-father-gets-home--
and only the slow children out on the lawns, marking off
paths between fireflies, making soft little sounds with their mouths, ohs
that glow and go out and glow. And their slow mothers flickering,
pale in the dusk, watching them turn in the gentle air, watching them
twirling, their arms spread wide, thinking, These are my children, thinking,
Where is their dinner? Where has their father gone?
Many thanks for the kind words and I am glad you appreciate the value of looking to the many threads of attraction that lie outside that are not 'Nature' per se but still engaging and of value to the explorer. My degree is in Biology yet I find myself up to my elbows in history and geology these days in preparing my programs. So much to learn and share and so little time ;-)
It would seem you are quite the greeter! Thanks for the welcome. I hope some fruitful discussions will transpire here. My hope is that local teachers in my area will pool their resources and benefit from collaborative effort. I look forward to interacting with everyone.
Hi Suz,
I am really excited to explore this site and topic. I am raising my twin boys, who are now 6 and a half on my 13 acre property in San Diego County. All boy/All Outdoors/All dirt, sticks, mud, worms, bugs....we are raising chickens and honeybees.
hi,Suz
(Oh, your name sounds Suzu鈴,small bell in Japanese)
Thanks for the heartful message.
I wanna know the wisdom to live with nature, just like Thoreau's Walden by C&NN.
And I'll also issue the nature imformation of our own,if I can.
Hi Suz. Thank you for the welcome message. My pleasure as far as retweeting. :)
Yes, the Closter Nature Nature Center is a nice little sanctuary in the midst of suburbia.
There's 136 acres to care for, and we offer kid's programs as well as adults.
Thanks again!
Anthony
Thanks so much for the welcome! My main interest is sharing nature with children of course and I currently work at a nature center where I get to do just that. My other relevant interests include outdoor/survival skills, kayaking, mountain biking, and taking long wanders with my dogs.
Thanks so much! I'll let you know what kind of response I get. The audience is early childhood educators. Project Wild is presenting after me in the afternoon--should be a good follow up to my talk. --Jen
Hi Suz.
I appreciate your words of welcome and encouragement. Looks like you're pretty busy on this site! Our group is listed on the C&NN site, but I didn't realize you can actually post events there too? I'll check it out.
Anyway, I'm glad I finally joined up here! I don't typically have so much computer time, but I'm on the couch recovering from knee surgery. What is your "role" in the movement? I need to go on your page here I suppose and check things out a little more. =)
Well, I'm looking forward to getting to know people here, find out what others are doing, and give/get support. Thanks again for your welcome!
