Thanks for the welcome. We look forward to joining in some discussions and learning about a whole host of things. Whilst I build furniture from reclaimed and recycled materials my wife works with children - so I'm sure you'll be hearing from us both...
Hi Suz. Thanks for the welcome note. My interest in joining the forum is in trying to be more connected to nature opportunities for me and the family, particularly in the Pacific Northwest. Our little one loves activity, but we're battling the near constant rain for the next few months.
What I should have said is that there are many leaders in Kansas working on this issue. There is a lot of excitement here about getting more kids outside. One group doing great work is Kansas Wildscape, which has started the WildLifer Challenge for kids. Here's the link in case anyone would like to learn more about it: http://www.kansaswildscape.org/programdetails.aspx?id=3. And I definitely want to check out the Grassroots Coordinators Group!
Thank you for the warm welcome Suz. I am working on a graduate degree in curriculum and instruction combined with an elementary education licensure. With A background in the natural sciences and experiential education, I am hoping to develop A graduate project on place-based education in the Missoula/Montana area and look forward to exploring this site further!
Hi Suz, Gratitude for your warm welcome note...... It will be my pleasure to connect the activities from India to this platform. Also, I would feel pleasure if you could guide our team to induct children activities in India through this platform.....
Thanks for the warm welcome. We are hosting a weekend event next week called "Just Get OUT" to encourage parents and teachers to take kids outdoors up here in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. I look forward to hearing of what others are up to.
Hi Suz - thanks for the welcome! I love the activities, events and ideas gathered here, and am looking forward to being more involved. I've been reading posts here for a long time, and feel that there are many kindred souls connected here. I hope that any like minded families in SW CT will get to know our school - a child's oasis in the midst of our fast paced communities! Thanks so much, Beth Skudder (from Connecticut Friends School: www.CTFriendsSchool.org)

Thank you for the warm welcome. We are a conservation group in a small community and we are striving towards building a nature center. And of course programs for children will be our focus. I foresee your site as being a resource for ideas. Take care.
