Event Description

The delightful picture book by Sandy Asher comes alive in this story of the gift of friendship and the value of sharing.  When Froggie arrives at Rabbit’s home, eager to listen to a bedtime story, Rabbit reluctantly lets him in.  As Rabbit reads, the stories of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Elves and The Shoemaker, and The Ugly Duckling, are magically brought to life by puppets.  One night Froggie brings dozens of frog cousins.  Overwhelmed, Rabbit sends them all away only to realize something is missing:  someone to listen!  Music, puppets and audience participation enrich the theater experience.  Play run time is 60 minutes.

The Aldo Leopold Nature Center has partnered with Children's Theater of Madison to bring you greatly discounted tickets to two wonderful productions at the Overture Center for the Arts - all tickets are just $8.50!

Tickets can be ordered directly from CTM  by following these simple instructions:

Go to, and click on the hover over the Student Matinees tab at the top of the page and click on Aldo Leopold Tickets. Once on the ticket information page, click on the Buy Tickets button at the bottom of the page to place your order. In the password field, enter the word nature.

Join ALNC staff in in the Rotunda after the show for a hoppin’ good time as we learn all about frogs, toads and all their friends.  Mimic a frog call, make some amphibian art, and much, much more!
