Forester Creek Cleanup in Santee 12/10 9am-Noon
East County Volunteers Wanted! Even if you don’t live in East County but you care about clean, trash free waterways we still need your help at Forester Creek in Santee. Forester Creek is a tributary of the San Diego River. After each rainstorm trash and debris washes down the creek to the San Diego River and ultimately to the ocean. Please help us as we prevent trash from washing into the river and create a healthy habitat for the plants and animals that call Forester Creek home.
No experience necessary, all tools and supplies provided. Community service hours can be verified for those that need them. Participants are asked to wear sturdy clothing that can get a little dirty and also wear closed shoes. Hat and sunscreen are recommended. Groups and people of all ages are welcomed to help.
Volunteers will meet at the Santee Public Works building at 9534 Via Zapador in Santee. For more information Please call Richard at 619.297.7380 or email volunteer@sandiegoriver.org
