You can help improve habitat for wildlife at Mission Valley Preserve, a 52-acre wildlife preserve right in San Diego! Volunteers will help to remove non-native invasive plant species, clearing the way for local species to take over and creating a healthy environment for the plants and animals that call our river home.
Volunteer tasks include chopping, hauling, digging, trimming, and more. All tools and supplies are provided. Community service hours can be verified for those that need them.
Be sure to dress in clothes that can get a little dirty and wear closed shoes, no sandals or flip-flops allowed for safety reasons.
For exact meeting location and to RSVP: call 619.297.7380 or email volunteer@sandiegoriver.org
