Event Description

The Land Ethic Leaders program teaches community leaders from across the country how to lead reflective discussions to get people talking about the critical environmental issues of our time more deeply, and examining the relationship between our human communities and what Aldo Leopold termed "the land community." Join us at the Sagehen Creek Field Station near Truckee for a session of the Land Ethic Leaders workshop this summer!

The workshop focuses on participatory exploration of the natural world and deeper discussion of the values we hold for it.  Participants also build the skills necessary for facilitating group discussions and the value of these discussion in helping people better understand and articulate their values.

Learn how you can pair discussion with outdoor observation exercises and work projects to engage your community in new ways. You will also receive a public screening kit for the documentary film, Green Fire, and learn how you can use the film to reach out to diverse audiences. Please join us!
