Event Description

Educators, formal and informal, are invited to the Green Mountain Club to learn about the natural history of Vermont’s Green Mountains, develop their outdoor leadership skills, connect with other educators and become familiar with the newly launched Long Trail Bound activity guide.  A guest speaker from the Vermont Geographic Alliance and a professional outdoor educator and guide will join GMC education staff to provide educators with skills, activities and resources they will leave with a better understanding need to prepare their students for a hike in the Green Mountains. 

When: August 14th 10am-7pm– August 15th 8:30am-4:00pm


Where: The Green Mountain Club Hiker Center in Waterbury Center VT


Who: This workshop is available to Vermont educators of any type that are interested in learning skills to teach youth about stewardship, VT natural history and outdoor leadership and skills.

Cost: $100 (includes two-day workshop, all necessary materials, snacks and meals)
