Event Description

Come play like a kid 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. June 30 at Mud Day presented by Summit Hut! This day is FREE with paid Zoo admission.

If you’re a Zoo Member admission is FREE! Not a member? Join today.

“Mud pits” will be set up to allow children and families time to literally get their hands dirty! Specially trained “Nature Play Partners” will be available to encourage natural investigation, and provide skills, tools and resources increasing everyone’s comfort level with guiding play-based learning in natural settings, or unstructured nature play activities at home.

This event will be a little messy, so plan your wardrobe accordingly. Select clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty, or wear a modest bathing suit. A hose will be available to wash off afterward and there will be plenty of sunshine and warmth to drip dry when done!

Mud Day is part of Reid Park Zoo’s monthly nature Play series –  a continued commitment to get families back outside and enjoying nature!
