Event Description

Kids—See Your Art Transformed into a
Giant 3D Snow Globe & Win a Prize!

Calling all budding artists! Here’s your chance to create a piece of artwork that can be seen around the globe at the Aldo Leopold Nature Center! To enter, draw, paint or color a winter scene using the snow globe template found at Get creative—your art can depict animals, trees, animal tracks and anything else you see outdoors in winter!

One entry from each age category (3-6, 7-9, 10-13,  and 14-18 years old) will be selected to be transformed into a 6 foot-wide spinning snow globe during a special sneak preview of new exhibits and programs at the Aldo Leopold Nature Center on Thursday, December 29th from noon to 7 pm. Winning artists will also receive free admission for themselves and their immediate family to the sneak preview.

Visit to find out more and download an entry form. Entry forms are also available for pick up at the Aldo Leopold Nature Center, and at an activity station at ALNC’s Winter Solstice Celebration on Friday, December 16, from 6:30-8 pm.

Contest is open for ages 3 to 18 years old. One entry per child.  Winners will be contacted with further instructions. All entry forms and artwork must be emailed to, mailed, or dropped off at  the Aldo Leopold Nature Center (Attn: Snow Globe Contest, Aldo Leopold Nature Center, 330 Fermite Drive, Monona, WI 53716) by Noon on Monday, December, 19th, 2011.
