As the woods and wetlands green and come to life, we feel the draw to get out, discover and gather. Come tour the greening earth and learn to distinguish the plants that are safe and satisfying in the early season. Your salads, side dishes and snacks may never be the same! This workshop will offer significant walking time, discussion and review. Dress for being outside in early spring weather, and please bring a notebook and sack lunch. There will be plenty of tasting and gathering opportunities and time for questions. Instructor: Nicholas Gale is a naturalist who has been teaching outdoor workshops at the KVR for 7 years. He is a certified Wilderness Guide through a year-long primitive living immersion course. 9 am – 3:30 pm. Fee: $30/person; $27/KVR Friend. Registration deadline: May 10, 2013.
