Event Description

Have you ever visited a stream and a lifted up a rock to find tiny critters moving around and wondered what in the world is that? Many of those critters are macro-invertebrates like water pennies, caddisfly and mayfly nymphs. These tiny critters play an important role in stream ecosystems and many are good indicators of stream quality. Please join Jason Brownknight, CNC Director of Conservation and Stewardship, to learn more about these tiny critters and search for them in Avey's Run. Members free, Nonmembers: Adults $8; Children $3 (ages 4-12); Active Military and Seniors 65+ $6 daily.
